Clarion
Lake Autumn

Clarion Park and lake is a neat
little wildlife refuge within the city that has hiking
trails and paths on both the East and West sides of the lake.
Early Fall is more enjoyable
walking those trails than mid-Summer when it's extremely warm. The
changing of the Seasons was certainly evident during Sunday afternoon, October
5, 2003,
as we began walking the West side and moving towards the south end of the lake.
Grasshoppers can be about as evasive as birds when it comes to photographing
them,
but they're great fun to chase with the camera lens.
Summer or Fall in Kansas without wild sunflowers would not be Kansas and this
Autumn is no exception.
