One of the things that you will
notice very quickly around Seattle and in the downtown area, are numerous
hanging
baskets full of flowers. One area near a parking lot and apartment
complex had an automatic sprinkling system hooked up
to keep the flowers watered and looking fresh.
Seattle folks will hug a tree before
they cut it down. One will notice that all the underpasses, tunnels,
bridges
and overpasses will have bushes and trees planted on top of them.
Landscaping is very attractive in and
around the city.
Jeremy (1st photo on left) has been hanging around Seattle for about three years
and is originally from
Colorado. As Jeremy said, "One Winter day I woke up and decided this was
enough cold weather
for me and headed for Seattle".
The downtown city park area,
which is near the Park Place Market and right on Puget Sound is active
all day long with people either relaxing or sleeping. Very nice kept area
with an occasional cool breeze off the sound .
