QRP Setup: XIEGU G90 HF SDR Tranceiver,
transmitting 5 watts (QRP), via a Signalink USB into a vertical
antenna, ground mounted on a
chain-link fence post. Two hundred seventy-five feet (83.82
meters) of fencing in all directions in conjunction with an excellent
ground conductivity
(see below map) affords a great counter-poise for this setup.
I use Tx/Rx Split often times to best enable
five watts making the trip.
The below captioned map shows the Ground Conductivity for
the continental United States.
My location, Topeka, KS (circled in red) is one of
several locations that has a very high rating.
