Interior
views of the main room (center) and a walkway from one
room to another. The
collapse of most of the roof has taken a toll on the
deterioration of the entire building.
A view from
the what we believe was the West side of the original
homestead with
a hand pump (handle missing) over the water well in the
foreground.
We lost a
sense of direction while walking around taking pictures,
and on a return trip sometime
(hopefully when the sun is shining), we will check which
way the compass is pointing, but this
is believed to have been the East side of the
building. The last two photographs show that the
original windows were blocked and narrowed to what
appears to be slots large enough to point
a rifle through. Two of these slots were only on
this side of the building.
